Last but not least, America finally signed his name onto the piece of paper. From now on, he is declared Independant. The idea brought a smile to his lips. Hopefully, England won't make a big show of it, he thought to himself.

One of the signers came up to him afterwards. America recognized him as George, another one of his avid supporters. "You realize that we are all risking our lives by signing this." America nodded. George pressed on, "Most of us probably won't even live past the war..." America looked up, "...War?" George nodded, "Yes, war. You really didn't think that England would just let us contine on, did you?" America shrugged. He noticed that another signer who lingered in the room paused. George laughed, "How foolish..." The one who paused turned to face them and said, "Is it really foolish to hope for peace when searching freedom?" George thought for a moment, then nodded slowly, "No... I guess not...." The man smiled and continued on his way out. "Wait!" America caught the man's arm. "I apologize, but I didn't catch your name." The man smiled, "Call me Ben."
